Local restaurants and mountain inns serve traditional dishes rooted in the region’s shepherding history. Try bryndzové halušky (potato dumplings with sheep’s cheese), sauerkraut soup or roast lamb made with ingredients from local farmers.
Terchová bacon and cheeses are a real speciality. We’re happy to recommend where to go, for example Drevenice Resort Terchová or the Syrex sheep farm in Zázrivá.
About us
An apartment with a story
The apartment was created by rebuilding the former Hotel Jánošík, which has been part of important moments in our lives, from a first school trip to the mountains to our first holiday together.
